Carbon Waters attended Jec World for the second time
JEC World, the international composites trade fair, was held in Paris-Villepinte on March 12-14.
Invited last year as part of a start-up contest, Carbon Waters was present this year at the Nouvelle-Aquitaine pavilion with 17 other companies. 43,000 visitors, 115 countries, and 1,300 exhibitors gathered in Paris-Villepinte.
“We came to the JEC in force from March 12 to 14,” says Alban Chesneau, CEO of Carbon Waters. More than 200 professionals stopped by the stand during these three days.
New projects in sight
The challenge for Carbon Waters was to demonstrate the technical and economic value of its graphene to industrialists from all activity sectors. It was a successful bet for the team. Chesneau explains, “We made a lot of national and international contacts, mainly European.
We discussed cases of concrete use; it’s the first step before any industrial cooperation.” To convince them, the Carbon Waters team presented the latest advances in technical textiles and metals, particularly for applications such as anticorrosion.
Carbon Waters will be back at JEC World next year
Another source of satisfaction for Carbon Waters was that the experts in the field, including those from Manchester, were surprised by the quality and ease of use of the graphene produced by the company.
These experts are considering purchasing it themselves and have already suggested its use to some of their industrial partners. The company’s presence at JEC World was therefore fully worthwhile. A significant portion of the company’s sales are generated through the trade fair.
It was also an opportunity for the Carbon Waters team to exchange views with other companies in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. “Cooperation is also possible,” said Alban Chesneau, whose team will be present again for the next JEC conference.
It should be noted that Carbon Waters was also invited to showcase its latest innovations at the main European graphene event in Rome in June 2019.
