It is also an excellent electrical conductor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are graphene&#8217;s applications?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A single layer is all you need to form an impenetrable barrier that protects against moisture or gases. Graphene is starting to find applications in the industrial world as a&nbsp;surface barrier, in particular for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carbon-waters.com\/en\/graphene-anti-corrosion-protector\/\">corrosion resistance<\/a>, but also for making an&nbsp;insulating material conductive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>You can create a barrier with graphene, but it would not be homogeneous; whereas a liquid containing graphene can be deposited over the entire surface that you want to protect,<\/em>\u201d adds Alain P\u00e9nicaud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.carbon-waters.com\/en\/applications\/\">a wide range of applications<\/a>&nbsp;in fields as varied as energy, aeronautics, building, and microelectronics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to produce graphene?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>That is THE key question: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carbon-waters.com\/en\/how-to-differentiate-graphene\/\">how to obtain high quality graphene<\/a> in sufficient quantities with a economically viable process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Production methods using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carbon-waters.com\/en\/mechanical-exfoliation\/\">mechanical splitting<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carbon-waters.com\/en\/how-to-produce-graphene-by-chemical-vapour-deposition\/\">electric shocks<\/a> are not transposable to large scale production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or do not obtain graphene of high enough quality.
